No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate.
If you don’t have insurance or don’t plan to use insurance to pay for your care, you have the right to receive an estimate explaining how much your health care may cost.
Before your care
Under federal law, health care providers must give patients who aren’t using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for scheduled health care items and services.
You may ask Ember and Bloom Art Therapy for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling care. You should also receive one when you schedule care at least three business days in advance.
Your estimate
- Ask for your Good Faith Estimate in writing.
- Save a copy so you can compare it with your bill.
- If a bill from a provider or facility is at least $400 more than that provider’s or facility’s estimate, you may be able to dispute it.
Request an estimate
Contact Ember and Bloom Art Therapy to request a written Good Faith Estimate or ask questions about the expected cost of care.
